We will play 5 rounds in McMahon system.

Venue, travel and accommodation

NB! The playing site has been changed! We will be playing in Cybernetica’s office (same place as last year), Ülikooli 2, 6th floor. It is a big grey brick building with SEB bank occupying lower floors. To enter, you need someone letting you in from the main entrance, so when you arrive, please call +372 515 0919 and ask for Jan.

It is possible to get to Tartu both by air and by land. Tartu has an international airport and has direct connections to Helsinki (operated by Flybe) and Tallinn (operated by Estonian Air). Since there are not too many flights per day, our guests may find it more convenient to sail or fly to Tallinn and proceed by hourly bus service between Tallinn and Tartu. The bus trip will take approximately 2,5 hours. For the players coming from Russia, Latvia or Lithuania, there are also direct buses. The timetables for domestic buses can be found here and international bus routes are operated by Lux Express. Ferry tickets can be booked at https://laevapiletid.ee.

You can find a good selection of accommodation options here. http://www.visittartu.com/ also contains a lot of useful tourist information and this page lists all the major cultural events in town in case you have a bit more time to enjoy yourself. In general, May is one of the best months to visit Estonia and beer is really reasonably priced :)
